![]() ![]() ![]() Despite this less than harmonious introduction, the two quickly become friends, and it becomes clear that Lea is strongly attracted to Ryder. Ryder is taken to see the Southern Sun's commander, Alex Jansen (Cameron Mitchell), who accepts Ryder's account of events, though his daughter Lea (Cisse Cameron) flies into a rage at Ryder and accuses him of abandoning the Professor to die. The decorated fighter pilot, Dave Ryder (Reb Brown) survives the crash via an emergency teleportation system, but his passenger, Professor Spooner is killed in the the crash, which causes serious damage that puts the docking bay out of commission. Tired of his fate to live and die on the ship, Kalgan (John Philip Law), the head of the Enforcers who are tasked with the ship's security, causes an explosion in the Southern Sun's docking bay just as a fighter is landing there. Set sometime in the distant future the intra-galactic space-colony-ship Southern Sun (which bears a strong resemblance to the Battlestar Galactica) is on a multi-generational trip to a new settlement. ![]() There is the magically resurrected control room woman, death by cane, the awful dance club scene, and more stock footage from "Battlestar Galactica" than you can shake two sticks at.The synopsis below may give away important plot points. SPACE MUTINY MST3K QUOTES WINDOWSThe whole thing is supposedly set inside of a spaceship, but they are obviously inside a factory (you can even see the factory-style windows in the background). They make exceptional gifts for some friends. SPACE MUTINY MST3K QUOTES MOVIEI have had the pleasure of finding several tapes of this while on bad movie hunts. There's nothing quite like it, let me tell you. Watching that movie is like taking two pills of Prozac followed by eating a pound of candy and then listening to super fast techno music for an hour. Any time I feel down or sad, I go watch Space Mutiny and cheer myself up with a high pitched "Whoo!!" or a flipping acrobatic railing kill. Ever since I found an original copy of the damn movie, I have wore down the tape from watching it so many times. In Space Mutiny, segments like the 'hyerwarp escape pods' dogfight with quotes like "Eat crunchy, munchy, chocolately covered cocoa death, Crow." and my personal favorite "Enjoy a nice helping of Brown Betty, served with death, bu-but mostly eat death." Space Mutiny belongs in the annals of Mystery Science Theater 3000 best episodes list.Īnd here's what's even better. Often the host segments, while still being funny, aren't as good as the actual movie they're watching. Even the host segments are outstanding, something that is very precious on that show. Every comment, every remark are all perfectly in line with the silliness of the movie. It has become one of those cherished episodes where everything they say is right on the nose. I personally adore both the movie and the Mst3k episode. The episode you're thinking of is called Space Mutiny. I responded with the only words I could muster before finally collapsing in a heap of amorphic gloop "For the recognization of evil. The Starfighters melted me down to the core of my being, and asked me why I watch bad movies, when I run the chance of seeing something like itself. THERE IS NOTHING to compare the DESOLATENESS of watching a movie about NOTHING. "Max Buttcrunch".Īlso.They did "Jack Frost?" like, Shannon Elizabeth killer snowman Jack Frost? I never knew that.that's like my favorite bad movie of all time! I must check it out.Ī movie that has ZERO PLOT. What was the movie they were watching in the episode where for several minutes, they kept making fun of the hero's name by making up other silly sounding names? It went something like, "Rock Chestwell", "Beef Hunkthrob". ![]()
